Submit Your Website To CSS Gallery Web Sites

Submit Your Website To CSS Gallery Web Sites

Posted by Karl Foxley in Blog, Link Building, SEO, Traffic Generation

Getting traffic and backlinks is an on-going challenge that every webmaster faces.

Do you remember when everyone started to say that directory submissions was a waste of time and no longer worth the effort?

Well, that is about to change!

The following resources have been my secret traffic generation weapon for quite some time now.

If you have a web site that fits the criteria for submission then you can submit your website to the many listed CSS galleries.

Each site has their Google Page Rank listed and Alexa traffic rank for those of you that love your stats.

Before submitting to any of the CSS directories please read their submission guidelines to ensure that your site qualifies.

The CSS Gallery List

The CSS Gallery List not only gives you a comprehensive list of CSS galleries but also gives you the opportunity to pay $20 and have them submit your site for you.

I prefer to manually submit my website to the directories to ensure I am adhering to the individual sites guidelines.

MeeCSS – CSS Gallery Submission Helper

MeeCSS offers a similar service as The CSS Gallery List for $18.

Again, I prefer to manually submit my sites.

You will see overlap in the sites listed in the directories so be sure to keep a record of where you are submitting your website.

MeeCSS CSS Galleries Submission Service

Stone Soup Tech’s Updated List Of CSS Galleries

Unlike the above, StoneSoupTech do not offer a website submission service to listed directories.

However, what they do say is that their list is the most up-to-date.

So how effective are submissions to CSS gallery sites.

Some of the sites you will find listed on the above sites send me MORE traffic on a daily basis than any of the social networking and bookmarking sites out there.

Nothing really beats ‘set-it and forget-it’ traffic generation and backlink building when you are running a business.

Have you used a CSS gallery submission services? What was your experience with them?

Would you use a web site submission service? Let me know in the comments section below.

To your success,

Karl Foxley

    Hey Karl,
This is an awesome idea. I am sure you know that ha ha. Do you think I should try it with my site? I don’t think my site is anything special, just an awesome theme design by elegant themes, but I didn’t do much customization to it.

Also by accident I stumbled upon a site about wp themes a few weeks ago and they were listing different themes and asking anyone that had a specific one to email them so they could link to examples. So I did and they linked to me. So I guess I should try it.

Got a question I want to ask you and have been waiting for you to come online all night :-) I need to bounce this off a good SEO guy cause it has me stumped and you are the best SEO guy I know.

I like the article and wanted to suggest you come visit us at http://CSSGallery.com. We not only take design suggestions and update daily basis, but our spiders keep track of all the other CSS galleries as well. So in most cases if you have a good design we will know about it soon enough. Once accepted by CSSGallery.com we privately distribute your CSS design to the rest of our partner CSS Galleries. So we are unlike the other CSS Gallery lists in that at this time there is no charge.

Great minds think alike! On the same day you posted this I posted the article below listing Galleries that were still adding new sites on a daily/weekly basis, because that seem to be a big issue with full website submission services: they do not keep track of defunct galleries (had a couple of nasty surprises when following some of those links).

Like you I prefer manually submit sites to be able to tailor the link adoption rate to the site I get links to.

Hey Tom, I’m going to add your post to my post Biggest List Of Traffic Generation Tips, I think it is a worthy addition.

Manual submission really does work best and I still get referrals from quite a few of the sites I am listed with.

      Regards,

They’re are all very strong domains to get backlinks from but their quality threshold is very high.

Generally speaking, they go for image-heavy websites and don’t look at the underlying code.

Hi Andy, yes they certainly do have a high quality threshold but this is what makes it great for those sites that get accepted.

It’s nice to see you here.

I bought a subscription to Onlywire that does social bookmarking and it’s been mediocre at best. I will continue to use it but I think manual entry is and will always be best. I mean if you do ten a day you are going to develop a great reputation online and you are going to get a feel for who’s on and who’s not and actually have x300 days 3000 backlinks plus

A nicely designed CSS site (which most of the galleries accept) has nothing to do with the content.

Some will only accept Portfolios hence the need to read each sites submission guidelines.

    Hope that helps Dennis.

    Hey Hesham,

I’ve found that you can submit your site if you change a template enough to make it unique (such as if you are using an Elegant Theme etc). You’ll also need to attribute the actual designer where applicable.

I’ve used article directories and blog/site directories and they worked like a charm.

Now I’m gonna try CSS directories. Perhaps it’ll be another great source of traffic.

The submission guidelines for the sites vary, some sites only accept flash sites, others only accept valid CSS and XHTML sites, some only accept portofolio sites and other directories, there is even one that only accepts sites that have 1 page only.

That’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t necessary pay for a submission service as the terms from each site differ greatly in some cases.

The busier sites are also a great place to find related sites in a niche as they are often grouped together nicely. :)

    Hope that helps Sire.

I have never used any of these services Karl, and you have certainly piqued my interest in them.

Do they accept blogs on only other CSS gallery related sites?
