Finding SEO Friendly Content Writing Services

Finding SEO Friendly Content Writing Services

Posted by Kelly Foxley in Blog, Blogging, Coaching, General Blogging, Online Coaching, Productivity, Search Engine Optimisation, SEO

Content really is King! You’ve probably already heard this and for good reason, it’s true. By regularly adding content to your website or blog that is optimised for the search engines, you are increasing the footprint of your website across the search engines. Remember, the more avenues you have leading into your sales funnel the better.

A blog is the perfect solution for publishing your ongoing content creations. I recommend having a self-hosted WordPress blog. If you have a business website, let’s say www.fmsseo.com, then you can log into your Hosting account and add a sub-domain specifically for your blog, in this case, www.fmsseo.com/blog.

A serious alternative to WordPress is Typepad. Typepad users are just as die-hard about their blogging platform of choice as the WordPress community, so you will have to see which one will work best for your needs.

Now, returning to creating optimised content and finding SEO friendly content writing services; creating content is an on-going process and some companies just do not have the time to do it. Another restraint could be the cost in hiring a new member of staff just for content writing.

A solution to this is to out-source this work to a professional freelance writer, especially one that understands search engine optimisation.

So where do you find freelancers who understands your needs?

The Web is an amazing place and here are just some of the great places you can find freelance writers (at very affordable rates):

People Per Hour (best for UK members)

Project 4 Hire

Hire My Mom

Simply post your requirements and people will start applying to be hired by you. I recommend ask for a sample piece of work so you can gauge the quality of their writing. Be as specific as you can when posting a project.

So how do you optimise your content for the search engines?

To optimise your content for the search engines you must first write for the reader. You may be thinking that there is more to it than that but let me take a second to explain.

You see, the search engines are happiest when their readers are happy.

Let’s use an example:

A user types ‘website design’ into a search engine. They click on the top result and the first paragraph is written like this:

Not Very Good Company offer bespoke website solutions including get my website found on google, Web Design, Website Design, Website Designers for companies across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

Good Company offer bespoke website design for small and medium sized businesses. We design websites for business owners in Derby, Derbyshire, and the surrounding areas tailored specifically to their individual needs and requirements.

Now, the first paragraph is trying to hit as many keywords as possible and this makes the sentence a chore to read. The second paragraph, although focuses on a few keywords, is user friendly and so much easier to read.

If you are a visitor and you land on a page that is made up of sentences that are in first example, you aren’t going to stick around too long are you.

Keep your visitors on your page longer by being relevant, writing in a user-friendly way and you will be rewarded by love from the search engines. Definitely mention your keywords and keyword phrases, just do not go over board and make sure the whole page reads naturally.

Make sure your freelance writer sticks to writing for the user first and then you can naturally add a few keywords where you need them.

Finally, creating great content has the added benefit of being link-worthy, if it is good then people will link to your page from their website. This will give you more exposure and more links pointing to your internal website pages (known as deep linking). This method of attracting deep links will have a more natural and organic look to it from the search engines perspective than if you only have links pointing to your homepage.

To your success,

Kelly Foxley

P.s. Be sure to check out the companies mentioned above if you are serious about out-sourcing your content creation.

P.p.s If you are ready to hire us to work on your SEO project then we can optimise your content as part of our search engine optimisation service.
