Get Your Business Listed on Gumtree for free Traffic
Today’s post isn’t going take you too long to read but it certainly is a great source of traffic for two reasons, you can tap into the local search market quite easily and also get direct traffic from the website itself.
The website I’m talking about is Gumtree, a UK classifieds (a local advertising directory).
If you are from the USA (or the rest of the world) you can use Kijiji, just scroll to the bottom of the page to find the website dedicated to your country. Gumtree is the UK version of the Kijiji website.
Simply visit Gumtree and select ‘Post an Ad‘ and then select the category that best fits your business, for this site I would select service. Make sure you choose the location your business operates in, Derby, London, Birmingham etc.
Now complete the easy-to-follow steps to create a search engine friendly listing. The listings are free in quite a few cases but you may be required to pay in the more popular cities (very low cost for the exposure it can bring). You can also purchase upgrades that will give your listing even greater exposure.
The great thing about Gumtree is the fact that when your listing comes to an end you can simply add it again.
Gumtree currently has a PageRank of 6 and has an Alexa traffic rank of 760; meaning that this is a great place to get a link pointing to your website.
To your success,
Karl Foxley
