ElegantThemes.com never cease to amaze me with the quality of the premium WordPress themes they put out.
Their latest one, The Source, took my breathe away when I first laid eyes on it.
Here’s a full-screen shot of the home-page. Pretty awesome right!

It’s by Elegant Themes so you know that you are getting 100% quality here.
But what else do you get with the…
The Source WordPress Theme
As typical with all Elegant Themes, The Source theme is:
- Opera compatible
- Netscape compatible
- Safari compatible
- Firefox compatible
- IE8 + IE7 + IE6 compatible
- WordPress 2.9 Compatible
- Advertisement Ready
- Threaded Comments
- Optional Blog-style Structure
- Gravatar ready
- Widget ready sidebars
- Theme Options Page
- Custom thumbnail images
- PSD Files
- Valid XHTML + CSS
What if you like the theme but don’t like the default colour scheme? That’s okay, TheSource comes in four colours variations.
You can switch the colour scheme from black to blue, grey or red in a matter of seconds using the easy-to-use theme settings.

Like all newer Elegant Themes, The Source comes complete with a bloggers true friend, ePanel, a complete theme management solution.
The Source ePanel
General Settings
The General Settings allows you to choose between the different colour schemes, change the layout of your blog and control your featured articles slider. The ‘general settings’ tab gives you control over the basic functions of the theme.
Navigation
You’ll also be able to use ePanel to manage the navigation of your new theme. The ‘navigation management’ gives you the ability to choose which links to display, adjust their display order, disable top tier links and more.
Layout Settings
‘Layout settings’ allows you to modify what info appears in the post-info section, the option to enable / disable thumbails on posts, pages and index pages. You’ll also have the ability to change the dimensions of your thumbnails and the option to ebable / disable comments on posts and pages and more.
Advertisement Management
One of the greatest inclusions in the ePanel interface is the ‘advertisement management’. Using this you will be albe to input the destination URL and the banner image URL for each ad that you wish to promote (your own or an affiliate product), as well as the ability to toggle them on and off at any time.
Search Engine Optimisation
My favourite part of ePanel is the search engine optimisation features. You are given full control over your meta elements, you can easily add custom meta titles, descriptions and keywords for every section of the theme. You can also enable canonical URL’s to help you avoid duplicate content filters.
There are also other options / features built into the ePanel that you can read about over at the Elegant Themes website.
If you haven’t come across Elegant Themes before, you will probably wondering how much all of this costs?
Hold on to your hats because this is going to shock you.
You can get The Source theme for 19.95 per year. Yes, you did read that correctly.
Not only do you get your hands on this theme at this insanely low price, but for under $20 you will gain access to all themes in the Elegant Themes catalogue, including future themes.
You still reading this! Get on over to Elegant Themes and start your blog on the right foot with a great looking theme that makes your visitors sit-up and take notice.
To your success,
Karl Foxley
P.s. If you ever get stuck with your theme, the Elegant Themes guys have a great forum where they help their customers get the most out of their themes, even sharing customisation tips here and there.

We really like this theme as well, use it on one of our sites. Lots of flexibility and like the rotating image banner.

Really, the theme took your breath away? Were you ok? I hope no serious lasting repercussions came of this incident!
I think it is a very nice looking theme and congrats on those guys for their good work (I’ve worked on this theme for a client) but to imagine that looking at a boxed WP theme could literally take the breath out of someone’s lungs is just amazing.
All kinds of people out there, eh?!
Hi Nathan,
It is called a figure of speech… a more visual way of saying I thought Wow. As a template from a theme club I really like the look of the theme, as with the majority (but not all) of the themes they put out. I took a look at some of your custom designs and I wonder how you would attack your clients for saying that your work ‘took their breath away’ or use of any other creative language. I hope that you ask for a level of enthusiasm in your testimonials as they can really help ‘sell’ your product, as you know Elegant Themes sell themselves without me saying how much I like them.
I like your web designs Nathan, but starting at $2000, there are some great ‘theme templates’ that will serve just as well and can be customised a lot cheaper through freelance services for those people on a budget.
All the best,
Karl
The article is great! The price is ok in my ways and the offer fits for my actual needs. We plan on using more than one of their themes. Thanks; I hope I am not missing their next release.
