Tobri! More Than A Social Network!
I love being an early adopter of new sites as they crop up.
Especially all the social networking sites that seem to be appearing at a rate of 10 a day.
The reason I like being one of the first on board on any new site is because I like to try, test and then share my findings with our readers here or with my personal networks.
Well, the other day I came across another social networking site and was intrigued by what I read…
“Take a moment to think about how many different online networks you’re already part of. One for business contacts, one for old friends, one for strangers, one for your interests… You Don’t Need MORE Connections – You Want BETTER Connections. Being connected is not about having 1000s of “friends”. It’s being really related, to the people who matter – the ones you know, and who know you.”
The site is called Tobri and what is going to help it stand out from the already crowded social network space is the fact that it has a patented search engine.
What the site says:
“Tobri is a revolutionary new network that values connections based on their quality, not on numbers. It’s a living system where real connections grow between real people. TobiRank is a patented algorithm that shows you how to find anyone that matters, from the huge human network you’re already part of.”
Another unique feature is the advertising opportunity that businesses can tap into (more about that here).
Tobri is free to register so be sure to add me as a connection when you sign-up.
Tobri Helping Non-Profit Organisations and Charities
On a separate note about Tobri, I received this email from Ken McArthur today.
In the email Ken was excited to announce that Tobri is giving away 1,000 Premier Memberships to qualified Non-Profit Organisations and Charities.
If you know of any Non-Profit Organisation or Charities that could really benefit from the increased exposure that Tobri offers please forward them this pdf put together by Ken. -Thanks
Please contact those you think may be interested as soon as possible as those spots won’t be around for long.
Give Tobri a try and let me know what you think.
Karl
Bonus Tip: To get the most out of your Tobri membership be sure to complete your profile as fully as possible.

My issue with social networks is that they often keep us from being sociable in real life. I have to really be convinced that I need ONE MORE THING to keep my backside glued to my computer chair. There’s a beautiful world out there!

This is pretty interesting. I’m not on my social networks actually and not looking to sign up unless I feel it’s going to really benefit me in the long run.
I’ll check it out though. Really.
Thanks for the tip.
I’ve found it to be very useful Eric. Let me know how you get on!
HI Karl,
I really like the idea of Tobri, it sounds like its a much better way to organise your list of friends. This is good for me as I have over 1000 feiends in facebook but I lose track of who is who.
Thanks for this post!
Daniel
I’ve not long been using Tobri so I’m still finding my way around but it certainly has some potential.
It combines all the networks together?

It’s more to do with how you can find how you are connected with people and how they are connected to people.
