Link Building Services – Are You Using One?

Link Building Services – Are You Using One?

Posted by Karl Foxley in Blog, Link Building, SEO

Link building is such a powerful strategy of improving your websites overall standing within the search engine that, as a website owner, you should be doing it now.

The trouble most business owners and website owners face is that they do not know how to start link building properly or in a way that is natural or beneficial to them.

One of the first things you can do, as a website owner, is find a link building service to draw up a link building strategy for you and chase those links. This will take the guess work out of what needs to be done to accomplish certain goals.

You see, a link building service should be able to look at your website or the market your business operates in and, after some research, identify some great places where you can secure links.

Yes, you’ll have to pay for the link building which you wouldn’t have to if you decided to do it yourself, but that being said, if you have a marketing budget and hire the right company, you will find that the benefits far exceed the costs.

What you can gain from a link building service is peace-of-mind, it is their job to stay up-to-date with the changes at the major search engines, it is their job to know what works and what has lost favour, it is their job to know when to work hard to obtain a link and when to move on because the time investment is a waste.

One of the best ways to get a feel for a link building service provider is to get on the phone and talk to them. See what they offer, how much the service will cost, what reports they run and how you will receive them, and what time-frames do they (or you) have in mind.

Remember, you will be paying for the link building service so it is up to you to ask the right questions, the questions that are important to you and your business.

Major tip: See if the link building service will start of small, secure some links for a set amount of money. If they deliver on what they say they can do, then you know you should be able to trust them with a larger portion of your marketing budget.

I personally outsource my SEO work as it can become quite a tedious exercise if you have never done it before. And I would also suggest for every website owner to do the same if they have the budget as it gives you more time to concentrate on the money making areas of your business; such as creating new products, taking out good content for potential customers, etc. If you wanna have freedom, you got to be able to delegate and outsource successfully. Make sure you carry out a thorough review of the link building firm you plan to use though as you want quality and results for your money.

Link building services is in my opinion a jungle, you have no idea about what your getting for your money when you sign up up for a service.
And that’s the main reason why I don’t use link building services, because I wanna know up front what I’m getting for my money is it post and submissions or is it actual bakclinks.

And I can see on my own blogs that, the bots and/or ip’s they are using, gets stopped by spam filters.

And thereby getting your name / website associate with spam.
Not saying that all services are like that, because there are good sites that deliver what they promise.

I agree, never throw a large sum of money without seeing any results first. Also be sure they are using only whitehat methods.

Thinking about what’s fair or not will just decline us for seeing the truth. I think. The world and Google of course are just a huge machine for money and advertising and I think that in order to survive you should adjust. So do it!!

Link building is very important. It doesn’t matter, if you do it yourself or get services. But results matter a lot.

I’m doing SEO myself, manually. I can’t afford to invest in services but I’m not closing my doors if there’s a great opportunity to rank up with SE. With my content and several effective ways to get quality backlinks, I think I can go with the competition.

I’m a little 50/50 on this topic. On one hand, I understand there might be a need to do it – and there are businesses involved in this industry. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem fair to “cheat” Google by paying link building services to get you a higher ranking, while others may have to work hard to get it by supplying organic content.

But hey, so much in life isn’t fair – like some companies spend more money on advertising than other companies, so I guess whatever is cool with Google, is fair game :)

Google loves finding relevant content for their customers (the searchers). Good SEO Companies take the leg work away from the website owner and helps Google and ‘people’ find the website owners’ content. I would see this as beneficial to all involved, especially if the content is good and worthy of being found, but then that part of the equation falls on the website owner. :)
