The Only Collection Of Premium WordPress Themes You’ll Need
If you have been considering adding a blog to your business then you will see many people will recommend a self-hosted WordPress blog. You can install a WordPress blog in a few clicks if you have Simple Scripts or Fantastico on your hosting account; I use Host Monster for all my hosting, very cheap, realiable and with great customer support.
A premium WordPress theme will save you the cost of employing a web designer to create a website for you. Premium themes are usually totally customisable allowing you to create a unique look and feel for your business blog. You can usually test drive a theme so you can see what it will look in action, making it easier to see which one will be right for you.
Here are the themes:
Squeeze Theme
The Squeeze Theme is ideal for anyone that wants to build an email marketing list using WordPress.

The Squeeze Theme allows you to drop in your Get Response, AWeber, iContact (or other ESP) form code and have an email capture page up in minutes. The theme costs $147.00 and allows for a traditional blog layout as well.
Studio Press
Brain Gardner and the Studio Press team create some very nice looking themes that will match a wide variety of business websites.

The Affiliate Theme isn’t just for the affiliate marketer but, if you are, you will love this one!

The Affiliate Theme is recommended by some very big names in the online marketing world and for good reason, it ROCKS! Theme starts at $97.00. Visit the site here!
Simply Fresh Themes
I have to say that Fresh Journal, the first theme by Simply Fresh Themes, is a personal favourite of mine as it was created by Keller Hawthorne and will only set you back $39,95.

Magnificent themes.I going to use Squeeze Theme for my marketing propose.
I like this post Karl, you are impressing me by the way you blog here
I am working on creating a special page, hope I can publish it soon!
.-= Hesham @ FamousBloggers´s amazing last blog ..Google PageRank update is knocking the doors of your blog, are you Ready? =-.
Hey Hesham,
Thanks for the feedback, now you’ve got me wondering what this special page is going to be about?
Some very good choices there, Karl. I like the ones that offer unique CMS options, but I am also wary of them – need to make sure the companies are stable enough to be able to provide upgrades as WordPress keeps changing.
.-= Anne Moss´s amazing last blog ..Ok, so now this blog runs on Thesis… =-.
Most of the WordPress sites I work with function in the traditional website layout rather than as a standalone blog. For this reason, it is one of the first things I look for when looking at WordPress theme designs.
Absolutely Anne, it is important that the Theme company is going to still be about when you need them the most!
Regards,
Karl
Hi Karl
I use Elegant Themes.
They are great themes and fairly cheap, but the main benefit is… help in the forum.
I can cope with html and CSS but not PHP. That’s where the support forum at Elegant Themes comes into its own.
Great themes, great price, great forum.
.-= Keith Davis´s amazing last blog ..A helping hand… =-.
This is a great collection to consider.. for now, i don’t them for the nature of blog that i am running but if time calls it, this will be the list. I like the “Style WP” theme.
Thanks for the feedback Dimaks. Style WP is certainly a neat theme.
Karl — great list of themes. I’m not a graphic designer so I’m always looking for a great jumping off point. I like Elegant Themes designs, clean and professional. The other company I like a lot is Dream Template (http://www.dreamtemplate.com/). They have a huge variety of templates from web base to blogs to cms templates. I can’t vouch for customer service, but I’ve never had a need to call on them.
I can vouch for their web (flash and static themes), CMS, and wordpress templates. Easy to work with and customize. A little pricer than elegant themes, but a lot more to choose from.
.-= CJ @ Niche Writing´s amazing last blog ..CreativeAce Grand Opening – Online Store =-.
Hi CJ,
I’ve not come across Dream Template before but some of their work looks really good (thanks for the link). It’s great to see you here and I hope you visit again.
Hey Karl,
Thanks for the list. I really appreciate all of the help you gave me to set up my theme using Elegant themes. I was freaking out a little bit when I couldn’t get my blog to appear on my /blog page. I am glad you knew what to do. I would have spent days trying to figure it out on my own. It is great to have knowledgeable people you can turn to in a pinch. Keep up the great work, love the new look of your site.
.-= Damon´s amazing last blog ..New Era Debt Solutions Review =-.
It was my pleasure Damon and thanks for such a great comment, always appreciated.
Karl thanks so much for the list. I actually signed up at three of these sites using your links. I have added two of them to my articles and added them to the blog engage make money online page.
Thanks so much for the insight and participating in the weekly word challenge.
I think both our articles added together would be the ultimate collection.
.-= bbrian017´s amazing last blog ..How to make money from blogging =-.
That’s awesome Brian, I see your post and thought it had been added to when I visited again.
Your site is looking great with your new theme you are using.
Forgot to subscribe to comments, twice.
Have you guys used all these and really recommend them all?
Yes and yes on a ‘if it fits your needs’ basis. I wouldn’t recommend using the Classified Theme if you wanted a traditional blog but if you wanted a classified advertising site then it is a good fit (as one example). Some have great ‘blog’ designs while other designs are great for traditional website layouts. There are actually many that I haven’t included that I do recommend but it comes down to time. There are also a lot of free themes that I would also recommend but that is something for another day and another post. When I say ‘we’ have used them that includes sites of customers that have them installed which has allowed us to play around with the themes. Hope that answers your question.
Yes, you’ve done well grasshopper. I’m always, umm…curious when I see multiple links to different products in the same realm, if that makes sense.
Like when a blogger “recommends” 6 different hosting companies in one post. lol
Please don’t be offended.
No offence taken Dennis. It’s a hard one isn’t, it’s like email service providers, I’ve used pretty much most of the big ones on the market and I would recommend them all; as having one is better than NOT having one. However, if you asked me to decide which one was my top pick then I’d really have to get my thinking cap on and factor in the individual merits plus the needs of the individual / business that my decision was based around.
Always a pleasure to have you here Dennis but you know that already.
Thanks Karl, I appreciate that.
I am a big Brian Gardner fan, and of course I use Thesis too, but am planning Studiopress for some projects I am doing next…
Great list of premium themes though!
.-= Keith´s amazing last blog ..Post Structure: Podcast =-.
The last I remember they had Joost De Valk on board which can only mean the themes go from great to even greater.
And if you do not have money since just start a blog, you always can try freemium wordpress theme such as Atahualpa.
.-= Dana @ Blogging Update´s amazing last blog ..HostNexus: A Cheap Web Hosting =-.
Free themes certainly have their place Dana but with Elegant Themes starting at just $19.95 to access their entire catalogue of themes it becomes reachable for even the tightest of budgets.
Together with my soon-to-be-finalized decision to either go full time or remain part time blogging is my plan to get another host and purchase my very first premium theme. With regards to hosting, I seem to encounter a lot of endorsements from established bloggers for Host Monster and Hostgator. If my plans push through, I would have to choose one among these two. In the area of themes, like Chris Roane, I love to tweak things and I can probably, with a lot of tweakings, come up with some premium-like theme out of a basic one. But I still would want to purchase one soon. I don’t know, but I feel like a blogger is never really 100% “pro” until he goes premium.
.-= James M.´s amazing last blog ..Using Google News Alerts For Free Targetted Backlinks =-.
We use HostMonster for a lot of our sites and LunarPages are also very good. I like both because their customer support is just amazing and that, in my opinion, is such an important element when it comes to choosing a hosting account. Be sure to let me know if you do decide to go with a premium theme, which one you choose and why (I’m sure you’ll blog about it
). All the best with your decision James about going full-time or staying part-time.
Thanks for the encouragement Karl. I will definitely blog about it when the time comes. And I agree with you about Lunarpages’ customer support because this is currently my webhost.
.-= James M.´s amazing last blog ..SEO Side Effect – A shot at a highly competitive keyword =-.
Great list, Karl. Of course, I’m partial to (and sold on) Thesis. But my next choice would be one by Keller Hawthorne. She’s a class act and will certainly provide a quality product.
For the first five years of blogging, I never imagined I’d ever pay for a theme. But, oh, it’s so worth it!
.-= Alison Moore Smith´s amazing last blog ..Thesis Theme: #1 WordPress Theme =-.
I agree Alison, it is totally worth paying for a theme. I’m yet to find a free theme that comes with the level of support that the likes of Studio Press and Elegant Themes (as examples) give to their customers. When you run into to trouble you want to know you have someone you can ask that all important ‘what’s up with my site’ question to.
For me it is hard to find a theme that does everything I want it to do. But then again I am a web programmer and I like to tweak things.
If I was going to spend money on a design for WordPress, I would pay a web graphic designer to create the layout and then create a new theme from that. Either that or I would find a theme that I like and butcher it to do what I want to do.
.-= Chris Roane´s amazing last blog ..The Long Dark Hole of Laziness: Improve Work Productivity =-.
This is exactly why I went custom. I’m on my second designer now (see Commentluv) and they both affectionately call me “Mr. Tweak.” lol
Just read your post about CJ, that’s really cool. I’m fortunate because my work is closely linked to a few web design companies so if I need any work done or mods I get them done free of charge…
It’s always great to know where to go if you want a theme changed enough that it stands out from the crowd.
Lucky indeed. I got lucky as well, I not only needed someone who could do just about anything custom, but someone who could easily pick up where the original designer left off…not as easy as it may sound.
